View different methods to mark attendance

The greytHR mobile app enables you as an employee to record and update your attendance status for a day. This process is basically known as signing in for the day to verify your presence or absence. This process allows your HR or administrative personnel to keep track of the present, absent, late, or early entries.

To mark your attendance, you must first log in to your mobile application.

Once you log in, you can sign in by any of the following methods as per your organization's policies.

Manual Mobile Sign In 

To mark your attendance via the Manual Mobile Sign In method, perform the following actions:

  1. On the Home screen, tap Sign In. The Attendance Sign In details screen opens and the app automatically fetches data related to Date, Time, and allotted Attendance Scheme.

  2. From the Sign In Location dropdown list, select your appropriate location to set the sign-in location.

  3. In the Remarks text box, enter your remarks, if any. 

  4. Tap Sign In to mark your attendance. The following success message displays: You have been signed in successfully. 

Manual mobile sign in with manual selfie capture

To mark your attendance via the Manual Mobile Sign In With Manual Selfie Capture method, perform the following actions: 

  1. On the Home screen, tap Sign In. The Attendance Sign In details screen opens and the app automatically fetches data related to Date, Time, and allotted Attendance Scheme.

  2. From the Sign In Location dropdown list, select your appropriate location to set the sign-in location.

  3. In the Remarks text box, enter your remarks, if any. 

  4. Tap Click Selfie to take the selfie. The camera frame opens. You can now capture your selfie using the mobile phone's camera button.

    Note: Ensure that your face fits correctly inside the camera frame.

  5. Tap Sign In to mark your attendance. If you want to re-take the selfie, tap the Re-capture button and follow the on-screen instructions. The following success message displays: You have been signed in successfully. 

Manual mobile sign in with selfie recognition

To sign in to the greytHR mobile application through manual mobile sign in with selfie recognition, perform the following actions: 

  1. Log in to the mobile application.

  2. To mark your attendance, tap Sign In on the welcome screen. The Attendance Sign In details screen opens. 

  3. The app automatically fetches data related to Date, Time, and allotted Attendance Scheme. You need to set the sign-in location and add the remarks.  

  4. To set the sign-in location, select your appropriate location from Sign In Location dropdown list.

  5. Under the Remarks text box, enter your remarks, if any.

    Note: Ensure that your face fits correctly inside the camera frame.

Geofence

To sign in to the greytHR mobile application through the geofence method, perform the following actions:  

  1. Log in to the mobile application.

  2. Tap Sign In. The Welcome screen opens. You are now signed into the mobile application.  

  3. To mark your attendance, tap Sign In on the welcome screen. The Attendance Sign In details screen opens. 

  4. The app automatically fetches data related to Date, Time, and allotted Attendance Scheme. You need to set the sign-in location and add the remarks.  

  5. To set the sign-in location, select your appropriate location from Sign In Location dropdown list.

  6. Under the Remarks text box, enter your remarks, if any.

  7. Tap Sign In to mark your attendance. The following success message displays: You have been signed in successfully. 

Geofence with manual selfie capture

To sign in to the greytHR mobile application through geofence with manual selfie capture, perform the following actions:  

  1. Log in to the mobile application.

  2. Tap Sign In. The Welcome screen opens. You are now signed into the mobile application.  

  3. To mark your attendance, tap Sign In on the welcome screen. The Attendance Sign In details screen opens. 

  4. The app automatically fetches data related to Date, Time, and allotted Attendance Scheme. You need to set the sign-in location and add the remarks.  

  5. To set the sign-in location, select your appropriate location from Sign In Location dropdown list.

  6. Under the Remarks text box, enter your remarks, if any.

  7. Tap Click Selfie to take the selfie. The camera frame opens. You can now capture your selfie using the mobile phone's camera button.    

  8. Tap Sign In to mark your attendance. If you want to re-take the selfie, tap the Re-capture button and follow the on-screen instructions. The following success message displays: You have been signed in successfully.

Geofence with selfie recognition

To sign in to the greytHR mobile application through geofence with the selfie recognition method, perform the following actions: 

  1. Log in to the mobile application.

  2. Tap Sign In. The Welcome screen opens. You are now signed into the mobile application. 

  3. To mark your attendance, tap Sign In on the welcome screen. The Attendance Sign In details screen opens. 

  4. The app automatically fetches data related to Date, Time, and allotted Attendance Scheme. You need to set the sign-in location and add the remarks.  

  5. To set the sign-in location, select your appropriate location from Sign In Location dropdown list.

  6. Under the Remarks text box, enter your remarks, if any.

  7. Tap Click Selfie to mark your attendance. The camera frame opens. Place your face inside the camera frame, and then automatically, the face is captured via face recognition. The following success message displays: You have been signed in successfully. 

    Note: Ensure that your face fits correctly inside the camera frame.

Geomark (Geotrack)

To sign in to the greytHR mobile application through the geo marking method, perform the following actions: 

  1. Log in to the mobile application.

  2. To mark your attendance, tap Sign In on the welcome screen. The Attendance Sign In details screen opens.

  3. The app automatically fetches data related to Date, Time, and allotted Attendance Scheme. You need to set the sign-in location and add the remarks.  

  4. To set the sign-in location, select your appropriate location from Sign In Location dropdown list.

  5. Under the Remarks text box, enter your remarks, if any.

  6. Tap Sign In to mark your attendance. The following success message displays: You have been signed in successfully. 

Geomark with manual selfie capture

To sign in to the greytHR mobile application through geo marking with manual selfie capture method, perform the following actions:  

  1. Log in to the mobile application.

  2. To mark your attendance, tap Sign In on the welcome screen. The Attendance Sign In details screen opens. 

  3. The app automatically fetches data related to Date, Time, and allotted Attendance Scheme. You need to set the sign-in location and add the remarks.  

  4. To set the sign-in location, select your appropriate location from Sign In Location dropdown list.

  5. Under the Remarks text box, enter your remarks, if any.

  6. Tap Click Selfie to take the selfie. The camera frame opens. You can now capture your selfie using the mobile phone's camera button.

  6. Tap Click Selfie to mark your attendance. The camera frame opens. Place your face inside the camera frame, and then automatically, the face is captured via face recognition. The following success message displays: You have been signed in successfully. 

    Note: Ensure that your face fits correctly inside the camera frame.

Geofence Auto Sign in

Enabling the feature captures the employees' attendance automatically. The greytHR mobile application tracks the employee’s existing device location. Once the employee enters the vicinity of the configured location, he/she will be signed in automatically.

To mark the attendance, perform the following actions:

  1. Log in to the mobile application.

  2. Allow the greytHR application to access your location.

  3. Connect your device to the Wi-Fi or enable mobile data. 

Note: After enabling the auto sign in option, you will receive a notification on your mobile screen that Your attendance will be marked automatically.
